Sapienza promotes and supports training and professional internships to offer concrete opportunities for interaction with the world of work.
Internships do not constitute an employment relationship.
Internships must be activated using the Sapienza TSP platform https://uniroma1.tsp.esse3.cineca.it/pub/main-page.
The documents required to activate an internship are:
• agreement: the agreement between the University and the host organization (institution or company);
• training project: the document prepared for each intern, defining the objectives and methods of carrying out the internship.
During the internship, support is provided by two figures:
1. company tutor: the person responsible for the intern's integration into the company/institution;
2. university tutor: the professor responsible for the intern's educational and organizational activities and who monitors the progress of the internship.
CURRICULAR INTERNSHIP
Curricular internships support the learning and training process and are not directly aimed at job placement.
Students may complete curricular internships during their studies to earn the University Educational Credits (CFU) required by their study plan.
Curricular internships must be completed before graduation. Internships, primarily in an external institution, that are instrumental or related to the final exam, are also considered curricular.
Expenses may be reimbursed.
EXTRA-CURRICULAR INTERNSHIP
The extra-curricular internship is an active training policy aimed at promoting career guidance, enriching knowledge, and acquiring professional skills.
Students and graduates of Sapienza University can undertake an extra-curricular internship.
A participation fee is provided by the host organization.
The extra-curricular internship is not considered an employment relationship.
It is regulated by Regione Lazio regulations.

After the application is accepted, the host institution completes the training project using the TSP Sapienza Internship Management System and sends it, along with the form relating to the chosen method, to the Faculty Internship Coordinator via TSP.
Countersign the aforementioned request to acknowledge and accept it.
Contact the university tutor via email, informing him/her of the internship opportunity and sending a brief description of the institution/company as well as the planned training activities.
The university tutor sends an email to the Internship Office at the Sapienza Faculty via their institutional profile, stating that they are the candidate's university tutor and indicating the number of credits the student will earn through the internship (sample).
The student must ensure that the university tutor has sent the communication required under point 6.

The student emails the signed training project to the SMFN Faculty Internships Office for final approval and signature by the Dean of the Faculty.
The following steps are required for the successful completion of the internship:
Complete the attendance register at least weekly and in any case by the last day of the internship. Upon completion of the internship, the intern must save it and submit it via TSP; otherwise, the tutor will not view it for approval.
Complete the internship evaluation questionnaire.
Ask the company tutor to log in to the Sapienza TSP platform, approve the attendance register, complete the end-of-internship form (final report), and have it signed and stamped by the host institution. The company tutor then emails the report to the student and the university tutor, simultaneously notifying them that the internship has been successfully completed.
